Hyco Lake – A “Warm Welcome” For Winter Fishing
Winter does not mean the end of opportunities for enjoying the outdoors in Person County. Hyco Lake’s 3,750 acers of warm waters offer excellent opportunities for anglers whether they are fishing on a boat or from shore; and the Lake is full of various species of fish at this time of year. - You will need a Park Permit to access fishing areas at the lake. The permits are $10 per vehicle and may be purchased through the Person-Caswell Lake Authority.
- Only use designated fishing access areas of the lake.
- Make sure you know State rules, regulations, and limits for fishing. This information is available on the North Carolina Resources Commission website
- If you will be fishing from a boat, you will need a boating permit from the Person Caswell Lake Authority prior to putting your boat in the water.
