2025 marks a major milestone for Uptown Roxboro as we celebrate 30 years as a designated Main Street Community! For three decades, we have worked tirelessly to preserve, enhance, and promote our beloved Uptown district, and this incredible journey would not have been possible without the unwavering support of our many partners, the City of Roxboro, our dedicated sponsors over the years, and—most importantly—our amazing local community.
To honor this achievement, we are rolling out a full year of celebrations, events, and initiatives to commemorate our 30th anniversary in style! There will be something for everyone as we take a look back at our accomplishments while also looking forward to an even brighter future for Uptown Roxboro.
We kicked off the festivities with our beloved Valentine’s Promotion, spreading love and appreciation throughout the community. Coming up in March, we are thrilled to unveil a brand-new promotional video showcasing all that makes Uptown Roxboro special. In April, we will introduce a special activity book for youngsters in celebration of “Week of the Young Child,” encouraging engagement with our historic and vibrant uptown.
Exciting changes are also coming to our event lineup! We are planning a grand anniversary celebration that will include a special Main Street Champions reception to honor all of our past Champions who have contributed to the success of our community. Additionally, we’re launching a brand-new summer event in July—modeled after our popular Jingle on Main—to bring even more energy and excitement to Uptown during the warmer months.
And that’s just the beginning! Throughout the year, we will introduce more fun activities, initiatives, and surprises, all designed to engage and delight our residents and visitors alike.
We are incredibly grateful for the love and support we’ve received over the years. Uptown Roxboro is what it is today because of the people who believe in its charm, history, and potential. As we celebrate this milestone, we remain committed to making Uptown Roxboro the best it can be—for today and for years to come.
