Genres range from county, beach music, blue grass, pop, and more! Don’t have plans for the weekend? Make sure to check out venues like The Kirby Cultural Arts Complex, The Homestead Steakhouse, Palace Pointe, Tunnel Creek Vineyards etc., for live music events.
Local Food Trucks
It’s time to shake up your normal sit down dining experiences with food trucks! We have a variety of food trucks that come to our area weekly to give you a taste of different foods and cultures. A few of our favorites are Smokehouse Bandits, Latin Effect, and Mr. Mongolian. Check out businesses like 1792 Beer Company and Black Creek Brewery for upcoming food trucks.
Axe Throwing
Throwing…axes…? Yes, you read that right! It’s a great activity to do with a group so grab a beverage and start aiming. It may seem difficult, but after a couple of practice rounds, you’ll be a pro. Experience what all the hype is about and head out to Bullpen Backyard to try it!
Palace Pointe
Talk about an entertainment venue that has been BOOMING- Palace Pointe! They are fully up and running and the community has been loving it. They have a great selection of fun activities like bowling, skating, arcade games, billiards, movies, and a new restaurant called The Crazy Dragon and Tavern. They have daily discounts that make it affordable to have fun with the entire family. This is a great place to go for a date night and watch a newly released movie or get the kids out of the house and go skating! Check out their social media for daily updates on deals and events.
Wine Tasting
Is it wine-o-clock yet? We have two lovely wineries in Person County- Rock of Ages Winery and Tunnel Creek Vineyards. Both have a great selection of wine and beautiful grounds to explore. Inside seating is available at both locations so grab some friends and make plans to visit them! We also have a local shop called Wine a Little that sells different wines! Tastings are available upon request.
Public Library
A place that doesn’t get enough spotlight? The Person County Public Library! They have weekly events available for children and adults including crafts, story times, workshops and more. A few of our favorite events are Paint the Town, movie night, and their weekly crafts for children.
